Manually creating and maintaining a table of contents can be time-consuming and error-prone, but it doesn’t have to be with new enhancements in title block management.Ĭomplementing our existing tag, displays the number of pages in a range you can define. If the scale of the model viewport changes, the scale call out will automatically update. Then use a tag to show the scale of the current viewport. For instance, you can pick your Scene name or description using an Auto-Text tag to automatically populate a drawing title. With new and improved viewport-based Auto-Text labels, you can use more of the information embedded in SketchUp models while composing documents, making your templates more powerful and efficient. These tags include, ,, , and parameter input. This means that you can drag Auto-Text labels in from a scrapbook, hit enter to drag the label leader, and then the value associated with that viewport automatically displays. You can use all of these labels in scrapbooks or with transparent label leaders. I use a PC with windows 10 at the moment. In addition to existing labels that pull entity or component attributes from SketchUp viewports in LayOut, we are introducing new Auto-Text tags that can be selected from the Auto-Text menu in label creation or templated labels. Coming from those other programs and a design background I like precision in my modelling but have yet to get there with sketchup. I really like the easy interface and intuitive nature of Sketchup but have to say I struggle with organic shapes and soft curves. I am using Sketchup Make V.17.2.2 with a few extensions loaded. In the past I have used other 3D modelling software like Form Z, Amapi, and Lightwave 3D but that was a long time ago when I worked as a designer and 3D visualiser back in the day when 100MB RAM was an insane amount and cost the earth. I have been messing about with Sketchup for a while now but would say my skills are still pretty basic so I am hoping to learn more and begin to use use my models to carve in 3D on my CNC machine. I like making things so I have recently bought myself a 2nd hand 3.5D CNC router table which I am learning to use (without manuals!). Do you enjoy long walks on the beach.?.Used to use Autocad, so I still call groups ‘blocks’. I might put some of my simple models on there. What is your current set up? (Your lake house and Ferrari don’t count).Have you gone to a SketchUp 3DBasecamp?.How proficient are you in SketchUp? Beginner, intermediate, advanced?.Why do you use SketchUp and what is your favorite thing about it? (Besides using it to impress the babes/bros…).Where do you use SketchUp? Personally/professionally?.Who are you? ( show us those pearly whites - to start, just one photo if you please ). My long walks are usually at amusement parks or following my wife shopping.
